Our preliminary recommendations are based <br /> on awarding each item to the lowest qualified bidder in accordance with the specifications, and have <br /> been prepared after review of the bids received. Such recommendation is identified with an asterisk <br /> (`). Also, (AS) following the Make and Model Number being recommended indicates "As Specified." <br /> We recommend that samples be requested for various items as indicated herein and expect that the final <br /> selections will result in a lesser expenditure than is summarized below. <br /> The summary of the enclosed preliminary recommendations is as follows: <br /> Category Recommendations <br /> Section 101 - Misc. Classroom Furniture & Equipment $226,327.88 <br /> Section 102 Office Furniture & Equipment $196,663.82 <br /> Section 103 Library. Furniture & Equipment $144,228.38 <br /> Section 104 Metal Storage Shelving $23,077.00 <br /> Section 105 Cafeteria Furniture 829.605.63 <br /> Total - Preliminary Recommendations 8619.902.71 <br /> Please note that at the end of the Bid Evaluation Sheets there are notes indicating the qualifications - <br /> listed by bidders as part of their proposals. <br /> We would like to make note of the following items: <br /> SECTION 101 - MISCELLANEOUS CLASSROOM FURNITURE & EQUIPMENT <br /> 1 .) We recommend that samples be requested from Slayco (Capitol) and Robert Lord Co. <br /> (Columbia) for Item CS-01; from Robert Lord Co.
