Matthews <br /> Governor's Authorized Representative <br /> Disaster Recovery Team <br /> 1 Ashburton, Place Room 503 <br /> Boston, Massachusetts 02108 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> We have examined the records and related documentation of the Town of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts, in support of the claim submitted under Project Application (PA) <br /> No. FEMA-546-96, resulting from the wind driven tides and flood disaster of February <br /> 7, 1978, in accordance with the Federal - State Disaster Assistance Agreement under <br /> Public Law 93-288. <br /> Our examination was made in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards <br /> and included tests of the accounting records and other auditing procedures we <br /> considered necessary in the circumstances. The Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development CHUD) Audit Guide, IG 3300.5, dated May 1976, was also used as a guide <br /> for our examination. <br /> As part of our examination, we determined the eligibility of the costs claimed <br /> under the Act. Exhibit A sets forth the costs which we adjusted in this regard <br /> and includes an explanation of the reason for such audit adjustments. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts claimed $26,394, of expenditures incurred in <br /> performing approved work.
