<br /> THIS BY-LAW IS HEREBY VOTED BY THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING OF THE
<br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE ON (� ,.� �_ / �7 , as follows :
<br /> Section 1. This by-law shall be known and cited as the
<br /> 11Airport Approach Protection By-Law of the Otis Air Force Base ".
<br /> Section 2 . As used in this by-law, unless the context
<br /> otherwise requires :
<br /> (a) "Airport", means the Otis Air Force Base .
<br /> (b) "Airport Approach zone", means any airspace above the areas
<br /> defined and shown on a map entitled Map of Approach Zones,
<br /> Otis Air Force Base, Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts dated
<br /> 12 February 1957 which is attached hereto and made a part
<br /> hereof .
<br /> i
<br /> (c ) "Airport .Hazard", means any structure or tree which extends
<br /> into any airport approach zone .
<br /> (d) "Administrative Agency", means the y + .
<br /> which is hereby designated " s the agency
<br /> charged with administering the regulations herein prescribed .
<br /> (e ) "Person", means any individual, firm, partnership corporation,
<br /> company, association, joint stock association; and includes
<br /> any trustee, receiver, assignee or other similar representative
<br /> thereof.
<br /> (f) 11Structure ", means any object or structure installed by man,
<br /> including any object regulated or licensed under any other
<br /> provision of law.
<br /> (g) "Tree", means a tree or other object or natural growth.
<br /> Section 3 . It is hereby declared that the existance of any
<br /> airport— zFazard endangers the lives and property of the users of the
<br /> -.Otis Air Force Base and the occupants of the land in its vicinity,
<br /> and effects a reduction of the area available for the landing, taking
<br /> Off and maneuvering of aircraft,, thus tending to impair the utility
<br /> of the airport and the public investment therein. Accordingly, it
<br /> is necessary in the interest of public health, safety and general
<br />
