k
1, Fudala continues: The other aspect of this is that part of the dealings with the
Selectmen regarding Forward Development, essentially committed to the length
of the article rezoning. I don't know whether that will change the
R-5 or to kill that or the other will affect that substantially give us the
number of units on that 40 acre property out of the 52. There is not much
you can tell by it. Forward Development is 14 units on that project of what
is in in the area of 570. one way or the other the effect of decreasing it
and also the effect on Forwards sets back 14 units I'm at
a loss as to what to do in ter s of this boundary change to R-5.
I don't think it's relative to scale of the property.
yrs. Thomas: I have talked to the Forward Development people in regards to this zoning
change as to haw it effects the 14 units--you have to remember, we have
been in negotiations with the Forward Development Company for many months.
One of the shall I say arguments we made with them was-we would bring
before you this zoning change as it is presented to you-not as R-5 We feel
that if we go to R-5 we are not honoring our consnitrrent to the Forward
Development Corp.
lnily Hayes: My husband owns 2 acres in that little area and it is I right now. I would
like to have it excluded from being rezoned. My husband passed away a few
months ago, we have a big mortgage on that piece of property. If you turn
that into a residential lot we will lose a lot of money and I don't know haw
I will really be able to pay the loan that I have on it and under A N R naw
and there is not quite 2 years to do do anything with it. It takes a long
time to get things rezoned. I would like it left I.
berator: We will note your comments but I think this particular article is beyond
the scope of that right now, unless this is voted dawn.
lernon Thomas: Is she a Registered Voter? Are you a Registered Voter?
'lnily Hayes: No.
'b3erator: I did not know whether she was or not.
Irs. Ferragamo: Just considering the size of the project to be developed you know its 600
units and when I was at the meeting of Forward and the Planning Board last wee
that they were willing to deal in good faith. I don't think going up 14 units
it going to be too much when you are considering 600 so I would support the R-5.
• Lawrence: We entered into an agreement with Forward Development because we felt that _t
was a good deal for the Town and a good deal for them--a deal that was good for
both sides. We have the opportunity here not only to take 270 odd acres of lard
but also to get towards our development of a well on that property $600,000 fr_m
Forward Development. The agreement we entered into with Forward Development
simply tried to get this agreement moving forward to the point where the
Planning Board or any other Board had the chance to look at it. one of the
things we agreed to was to support a Zoning change in order to make OSID work.
The Board of Selectmen unanimously supported the zoning change to R-3 Zoning.
I think it would be in bad faith before we even go into discussion as to whether
& the project will fly. There will be time to discuss this later--you may not
+-},P nrem,ea we were
