Accordingly, the general purpose financial statements do not include the cost of vested sick and vaca- tion benefits as prescribed by the National Council of Governmental , Accounting in their Statement 4 "Accounting and Financial Reporting Principles for Claims and Judgements and Compensated Absences". In aur opinion, except for the effects, if any, of the matters referred to in the third, fourth and fifth paragraphs of this report, the general purpose financial statements referred to above present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts at June 30, 3383, and the results of its operations and changes in financial position of non-expendable trust funds for the year they, ended in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. Our audit of the 1989 financial statements was made for the pur- pose of fanning an opinion on the general purpose financial statements taker, as a whole and on the combining and individual fund and account group financial statements. The financial information listed as sup- Porting schedules in the table of contents is presented for purposes of additional analysis and is riot a required part of the general pur- pose financial statements of the Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts. Such information has. beer, subjected to the auditing procedures applied in the audit of the general purpose, combining and individual fund and account group financial statements and, in our opinion, is fairly ' stated in all material respects in relation to the general purpose financial statements taken as a whale.
