TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> January 29, 1998 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Steven R. Ball and John T: Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Minutes continued until all Board members are in attendance. <br /> 3 & 4) Memo from Exec. Sec. re: Transfer Station hours - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I <br /> forwarded a response to the Board of Selectmen." "It is this Board's decision as to <br /> whether the trash budget should be increased to cover next year's Tuesday's or to wait <br /> and see what the Selectmen's response to this is." <br /> Mr. Ball recommended the Board forward a memo to the Executive Secretary <br /> stating this Board has reviewed this matter one more time and feels it is not in the <br /> taxpayer's best interest to secure additional funding to open the Transfer Station on the <br /> remaining Tuesday's in order to satisfy the two complaints that we have on file." "The <br /> Board is of the opinion this is not wise use of taxpayer's money and that the current hours <br /> are adequate for the off season." "As of April 1, 1998 it will be open six days a week <br /> during the summer and busy season." <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed with Mr. Ball's recommendation. <br /> Mr. Ball directed the agent to forward the memo to Mr. Whritenour. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Thomas Smith- 266 Monomoscoy Road <br /> Mr. Smith was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "In speaking with Mr. Smith earlier in the week he questioned the <br /> use of a Clivus Multrum composting unit on his lot due to the depth to groundwater and <br />
