TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> March 19, 1998 <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> MembersP resent: Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty and Robert F. Cram, Sr. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> 1.) Warrants signed. <br /> 2.) Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of March 6, 1998, Mr. Cram <br /> seconded all agreed. <br /> 3.) Two letters from W & S re: W & S Services - Mr. McQuaid stated, "There are <br /> two divisions of Weston & Sampson, one is the Engineering that we've had as <br /> consultants for over ten years, the other is their Services division which won the bid for <br /> operations of the high school wastewater treatment plant." "It turns out, through internal <br /> reorganization, that their Services division was sold to an outfit out of Houston call "Aqua <br /> Source"." "The same personnel will be on board." "Operations will still be handled <br /> through Weston& Sampson." "I don't expect any significant changes." <br /> 4.) Letter from Town Counsel re: Landfill - Mr. McQuaid stated, "This letter from <br /> Town Counsel acknowledges the fact that D.E.P. has decided that they do not need to <br /> create an enforcement against the town for failure to report arsenic and cadmium in the <br /> Mashpee River." "They do continue to want a Method 3 Environmental Risk Assessment <br /> Characterization on the Mashpee River." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Michael DiMaggio - Well Permits <br /> Mr. Doherty stepped down from this matter as he found it to be a conflict of <br /> interest. <br /> Mr. Michael DiMaggio was in attendance for this scheduled appointment. <br />
