TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> March 10, 1999 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> Members present: Robert F. Cram, Sr., Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, Elias A. <br /> McQuaid and Veronica A. Mayer <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Robert F. Cram, Sr., Chairman <br /> Board members discussed the transfer station RFP changes. Mr. Ball motioned <br /> to accept the changes as noted (see attached). Mr. Doherty seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br /> 1. Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Approve minutes of January 28, 1999 meeting. Mr. Ball motioned to <br /> approve minutes. Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3. Transfer station operator's responsibilities to be included in RFP. See <br /> attached with changes noted. (Changes are typed in underlined italic <br /> print) <br /> 4. Variance request - 25 Greenwood Road. Applicant is requesting a <br /> variance of 5' off the street and southerly abutters and 6' off the <br /> basement wall for the proposed soil absorption system. Also being <br /> requested is a variance from the local Board of Health regulation of 17' <br /> from the well servicing house #83. Mr. Doherty motioned to grant the <br /> variance as requested. Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 5. Perc test extension request- 2 & 3 Bayshore Drive. Applicant is <br /> requesting a six-month extension on the perc tests performed on #2 and <br /> #3 Bayshore Drive. Both locations were tested and approved in March of <br /> 1985. Permit was not issued. Applicant thought perc tests were good <br /> until the year 2000. Board discussed request of applicant. Mr. Doherty <br /> motioned to deny request. Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 6. EmergencV failure certification - 29 Musket Lane. Board members <br /> forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Failure Certification" form. <br /> 7. Latest round of surface water tests TCE hot spot John's Pond. Board <br /> discussed and agreed that the Department of Public Health should come <br /> and advise the Board of Health well before Memorial Day. <br />
