Cram, Sr., Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, Elias A. <br /> McQuaid and Veronica A. Warrants signed. <br /> APPOINTMENT Humberto Peireira re: Flea Market Food Sales <br /> Mr. Peireira was in attendance for his scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. Peireira stated, "What I'm asking permission to do is to sell live lobsters out of a <br /> refrigerated truck on the flea market grounds. I have all the permits in order to do so. <br /> In Fall River I run an operation with a seafood department. We have a few boats <br /> which we unload in order to sell lobsters out of these trucks." <br /> Mr. Cram asked, "These trucks are refrigerated?" <br /> Mr. Peireira responded, "Absolutely. They have been inspected by the FDA. I'm in the <br /> HASAP program for seafood." <br /> Mr. Ball asked, "Have you done this at other locations?" <br /> Mr. Peireira stated, "I sell lobsters all over the place. I ship all over the country and <br /> supply seafood for a lot of different trucks. I'll only be selling lobsters and crabs." <br /> Ms. Mayer asked, "What are you going to do with the dead lobsters?" <br /> Ms. Peireira responded, "All dead lobsters will be taken back to my dumpster. I would <br /> never sell a dead lobster, never. I will only sell the lobsters from inside the truck. The <br /> lobsters will be in totes inside a big vat of ice. The melted ice goes into the big vat <br /> under the tote." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I don't have a problem with this as long as one of the Health Agents <br /> inspects the truck." . <br /> Mr. McQuaid added, "We've had many requests from vendors over the years who want, <br /> to sell food products at the flea market. At one point we eliminated them all because <br /> we found people selling sub-grade foods. The only thing we've been allowing in the <br /> past is fresh produce. This is the first time we will have allowed potentially hazardous <br />
