TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> May 11, 2000 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Members present: Steven R. Ball, John T. Doherty, L. Glenn Santos, Elias A. McQuaid <br /> and Veronica A. Warden <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. Steven R. Ball, Chairman <br /> 1. Sign warrants. Warrants signed. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> a. Board reorganization <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to appoint Mr. Ball Chairman of the Board of Health for <br /> the upcoming year. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to appoint Mr. Doherty Co-Chairman of the Board of Health <br /> for the upcoming year. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to appoint Mr. Santos Clerk of the Board of Health for <br /> the upcoming year. Mr. Ball seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> 2. Approve minutes of April 20, 2000 and April 27, 2000 meetings <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to approve the minutes of April 20, 2000 and April 27, 2000. <br /> Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> 3. Request for Massage Therapist License - Mary Roberts <br /> Ms. Warden stated that the Board has never acknowledged the Indian <br /> Mountain Meditation Lodge and Healing Center for issuance of a Massage <br /> Therapist license. Mr. Doherty motioned to deny the request of Ms. Roberts <br /> due to insufficient documentation and for her to come into the office to take the <br /> test for massage therapy licensing. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion to <br /> deny passed. <br /> 4. Request for 2000 Retail Food permit- Voiin Vuiosevic d/b/a Pain D'Avignon <br /> Ms. Warden stated that Pain D'Avignon has a bakery in Hyannis and would like <br /> to sell their bread and baked products in the Popponesset Marketplace in the <br /> location formerly occupied by Cannoli's Italian Bakery. Mr. Doherty motioned <br /> to grant a 2000 Retail Food permit pending inspection by a Health Agent. Mr. <br /> Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br />
