Ball, L. Glen Santos and Veronica Warden <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. L. Glen Santos, Co-Chairman <br /> 1. Sign warrants. <br /> Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Approve minutes of December 2nd and 9th, 1999 and August 27th, 2001. <br /> Approval of the minutes was waived until there was a full board present. <br /> 3. Variance request: 202 Daniels Island Road: <br /> The applicant is requesting that the revised septic plans dated July 9th, 2001, that <br /> changes the bedrooms from 4 to 5 be approved by the board. The additional room <br /> considered a bedroom is the exercise room over the garage. They are requesting a <br /> variance from 310 CMR 15.211 setback distances. The proposed soil absorption <br /> system will be 3' off the street property line. (10' is required.) <br /> Ms. Warden stated that this request was originally before the board on July 19th, <br /> 2001. The board required that a denitrification unit be installed at that date. <br /> There are additional variances being required. <br /> Mr. Ball made a motion to grant the variances requested in the letterhead from <br /> Cape & Islands dated August 29th, 2001. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. <br /> 4. Variance request: 133 Shields Lane <br /> The applicant is requesting the following variances in accordance with 310 CMR <br /> 15.405 Local Upgrade Approval. The soil absorption system will be 4' off the street <br /> property line. (10' is required.) The soil absorption system will be 4' above the <br /> adjusted groundwater. (5' is required.) <br /> Ms. Warden had a question regarding this particular piece of property. Ms. <br /> Warden had a question for Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering who <br /> was present. Ms. Warden stated that she remembered doing the perk test <br /> however, there is no information on file that indicates that the system is in failure. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky first stated that the client told them that it is in failure. Then he <br /> stated that it is in failure because it is sitting in the ground water. They hit water <br /> at 39". <br /> Mr. Ball's concern was that the resident was maintaining three bedrooms. <br />
