Conclusions:
• 2 full sets of Plan layouts were approved and stamped, and handwritten notations
were made in red. For instance, "no dumpster required...secured trash".
• Signs for side of building were approved, stamped and notation made not to exceed
20 feet.
Mashvee Commons
John Renz showed layout for Buildings 3 &4. He said they'd be using existing foundation.
Increased to 2-story building to accommodate dialysis center. Retail tenants on first floor.
Height has not changed from original building, that is, 35' high. Rear faces the condos.
Little over 9,000 square feet. He'll be coming back with signs request.
Design Committee comments:
• There's a new code: Vertical rails required for handicap ramp. The Committee
offered suggestions of various options.
• Parking at rear. Would customers have to walk around the building to enter stores?
• Front and sides look great.
• Little concerned with height.
• Do something regarding back of building to make it look like storefront.
• What about signage on buildings? John Renz said awnings would have signs of
tenants at front.
• Consider elevated walkway at back going into ramp.
Leach Animal Hospital
Dr. Leach showed layout and sample of split face block. Problem: Front of building is small
and with metal siding wouldn't look good.
Conclusion: Dr. Leach said he's staying with clapboard. If maintenance becomes an issue
then he'll look at vinyl.
Corner of Nicoletta Way and Route 130
Chris Wickstrom appeared in place of his father, Clifford Wickstrom, and told the
Committee he's had a horrible time with landscape designer and he said he needs help. He
stated his concern is to create a buffer and then come back at a later date with other concerns.
What's to be accomplished?
• Re-vegetate buffer to its natural state. No grass...to be natural re-vegetation.
• . Committee suggested he talk to Allenby Leighton to have him put together proposal
to put this back to natural state. Also provided name of Harry Johnson in Osterville
as another outfit who does this type of work.
• Needs well for irrigation.
• Work will probably be done September or October.
• Make it look so buffer looks continuous.
3
