Duck Pond Limited Partnership
106 Falmouth Road
Self-Storage Building, contractor, storage and
business incubator/light industrial/office/lab or research space
Edwin Taipale,Daniel Ojala(project engineer), and Stuart Bornstein appeared. Design Review Committee
reviewed the plans and have same concerns they've had—namely too much building for the property size. On
these plans, loading dock has been added, which will not work on this site at all. During the review and
discussion other issues and concerns raised included the following:
• Details of window coming through roof–need to see Plan.
• Last meeting, applicant was going to do something with roofline to break-up length of building–did
nothing different.
• Design Review suggested that perhaps applicant would want to bring their designer to next meeting so
he can hear the dialogue.
Stuart Bornstein stated he disagrees with what has been said. He said this is an industrial zone; and these are
industrial buildings. He said there are about 50 of these around New England and he would take the Committee
to see them. Mr. Bornstein then proposed ending this meeting and they will come back in 2 weeks. Mary said
they made some improvements on landscaping, but evergreen should be 6'; and she suggested they put in 6'
white pines. Mary added that is what we recommend to everyone who comes in here. Design Review
reminded the applicant that plans must be in a week before the meeting. Also,Design Review again stated that
the Committee wants to see Plan of what applicant wants to build.
Conclusion: Not approved. Applicant again reminded to submit Plan of what applicant wants to build.
Plans to be reviewed must be submitted one week before meeting date.
Approval of Minutes
Minutes of March 23, 2006 as presented were unanimously approved.
Adiournment...Meeting was adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
_I&ti I 7
an Giliberti
ecording Secretary
