ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA DESCRIPTION <br /> The economic development area covered by this economic development <br /> plan is the Mashpee Executive Park. The park was identified specifically <br /> in the enabling legislation as an economic development area within which <br /> the Mashpee EDIC may pursue economic development projects. <br /> The Mashpee Executive Park is located on Route 28 just south of the <br /> town's commercial center.There are twenty one parcels within the park <br /> (See Appendix 2 for a map of the park and Appendix 3 for the names of <br /> the property owners).The park is zoned for industrial uses (I-1) on the <br /> Mashpee Zoning Map(Appendix 4). The state designated the Mashpee <br /> Executive Park as an Economic Opportunity Area for the purposes of <br /> property tax abatement. The park is partially within state approved <br /> Wellhead Protection Area on the Regional Policy Plan Water Resources <br /> Classification Map 1. <br /> A range of businesses currently occupy the Executive Park and there are a <br /> number of vacant wooded lots yet to be developed. Upon entering the <br /> park there is a large complex,Summerfield Park,to the right that houses <br /> small businesses ranging from medical services to home improvement <br /> stores. Across the street is a large healthcare center run by Cape Cod <br /> Healthcare. The Mashpee Water District occupies one lot.There are four <br /> or five lots occupied by contractor bays and several offering space to small <br /> businesses. Capewide Enterprises,a homebuilding and septic company, <br /> and several other small companies also occupy lots in the Park.One lot is <br /> occupied by a cell tower. <br /> Within the Mashpee Executive Park there is one property, 117 Industrial <br /> Drive Extension,currently controlled by the Mashpee EDIC.The Town <br /> transferred the property to the Mashpee EDIC in 2oo8 with a vote of <br /> support from town meeting(See Article 12 of the Town Meeting Warrant <br /> in Appendix 5).Appendix 6 shows the basic geography of the site and the <br /> location of the extension road to access the site.The details of zoning for <br /> this site are included in Appendix 7. <br /> Mashpee EDIC Economic Development Plan Page 3 <br />
