The 6 acre lot opposite the Community Health Center is on the Town Meeting Warrant. If passed,this will allow <br /> the Selectmen to sell this lot. <br /> BOS purchased 1 year insurance policy beginning on 3/1/12. Terre will draft a"thank you" letter to the BOS <br /> Deed is currently being drafted by Town Counsel for 2.6 acre lot in industrial park. BOS is in support of drafting <br /> and recording this deed. <br /> Due to the fact that the Insurance policy is only good for 1 year and that it will run out on 3/1/13, a plan of action is <br /> needed for the 2.6 acre lot. <br /> Dino will take the lead for developing a plan for the use of the 2.6 acre lot, i.e. sell the lot or some other way to <br /> obtain capital. Terre stated that"we need capital now and this will help with our goal of hiring an executive <br /> director". Some ideas for developing that parcel include attracting WHOI or Cape Wind. Dino will research these <br /> and other potential uses of this lot. <br /> Organization of EDIC Rules and Regulations—Carol Sherman <br /> Tom Mayo to create a Table of Contents for proposed rules and regulations. Some of the specific items, such as <br /> mention of Augat property,need to be removed. Section 5 needs to be cleaned up, "not re-inventing the role". <br /> Carol and Tom will continue to work on this and will present to the Board at the next meeting. <br /> Developer's Kit discussion—Carol Sherman <br /> Carol Sherman presented a checklist packet with information obtained from the Building Department, i.e. Building <br /> permit requirements,business permit(from the Clerk). Discussion around the idea of including business lease <br /> forms from Deer Crossing, Mashpee Commons and South Cape Village. It was suggested that if we include lease <br /> documents from those entities,then we would need to include from all commercial property owners in Town. <br /> Dino suggested that rather than lease documents,we include contact information for each commercial property <br /> owner in Town. <br /> Terrie reminded Carol to be sure to include Cape Cod Commission review requirements in the kit. <br /> New Business <br /> Report from Carol Sherman Mary LeClair Tom Mayo and Terrie Cook on roundtable with Falmouth, Sandwich, <br /> Bourne and Mashpee economic groups and the Cape Cod Commission(Leslie Richardson) <br /> Carol,Mary, Tom and Terrie stated that several questions came from this discussion: <br /> What will follow-up be <br /> What opportunities exist <br /> If a regional effort were to come to fruition, would it be formal or informal and how would it be funded? <br /> Liability Policy <br /> No discussion <br /> Next Steps: Goals and actions <br /> Terrie would like to have a complete in place by July <br /> Next Meeting <br /> April 17'h, 2012 @ 6pm at Mashpee Town Hall—Room TBD <br />
