PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> • MINUTES OF DECEMBER 20, 1982 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present for the meeting: <br /> Caroline Gilligan, Curtis Woodbury, David Hardy and Manuel Glickman. <br /> Acting Chairperson Woodburysconvened the meeting promptly at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> Manuel Glickman made a motion to accept the minutes of December 13, 1982 as <br /> written. Dave Hardy seconded the motion. <br /> Board Secretarial Openings <br /> The Personnel Board unanimously voted to recommend Amy Mosley for the position <br /> of Board Secretary to the Capital Program Committee. <br /> Historic Commission <br /> In a memo dated December 17, 1982, the Personnel Board is requested to fill the <br /> position of Board Secretary to the Historic Commission. An advertisement has <br /> been posted within the town and will be put into the newspaper. <br /> Adhoc Public Safety Committee <br /> Joyce Mason has indicated that she did not wish to continue filling in temporarily <br /> as Board Secretary for the Adhoc Public Safety Committee. <br /> • Budget for Fiscal Year 1984 <br /> Hearings with the Finance Committee for the 1984 budget review have been set. <br /> The Personnel Board is scheduled to meet with the Finance Committee on Tuesday, <br /> February 1, 1983, at 8:30 p.m. Seven copies of the budget are to be received by <br /> the Finance Committee no later than Tuesday, January 18, 1983 and an additional <br /> four copies of the budget are to be submitted to the Selectmen by the same date. <br /> Manuel Glickman requested a copy of last year's budget for review by all Board <br /> members. <br /> Form for Capital Program Committee <br /> Departments have been requested to indicate, on a form received from the Capital <br /> Program Committee if they do not contemplate a capital program in excess of <br /> $10,000 for 1983. It is to be signed and dated and returned by January 10. Curtis _ <br /> felt that the form should be signed by the Chairperson. <br /> Office Hours <br /> In concurrence with the Personnel Board's request, the Board of Selectmen sent a <br /> memo to all departments reminding them that the Town Hall offices should be open <br /> to the public between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and that it is their expectation <br /> that offices will be covered during the lunch hour. <br /> Maintenance Position <br /> The Personnel Board has been advised by the Executive Secretary that the Board of <br /> Selectmen voted to fill the vacancy on the maintenance unit. The position has <br /> been posted and the closing date for all applications is December 27, 1982. <br /> Contracts for Fire Chief and Highway Superintendent <br /> A copy of the ratified contracts for the Fire Chief and Highway Superintendent <br /> were received. Copies were put in each of the members folders for their perusal. <br />
