• PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The members of the Personnel Board were .present for tonight's meeting: <br /> Robert Sullivan, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, Curtis Woodbury and David <br /> Hardy. <br /> Mr. Manuel Glickman and Mrs. Glickman were also present during the meet- <br /> ing. Mr. Glickman expressed interest in becoming a member of the Personnel <br /> Board. <br /> Senior Citizens Walking Trails <br /> In a letter dated September 24, 1982, a request for the wording to be in- <br /> scribed on the plaque which will be displayed at station #1 of the Senior <br /> Citizens Walking Trail was made by Wendy Rubin. Also, Miss Rubin requested <br /> that sponsors fullfill their pledge obligations as soon as possible. Bob <br /> asked each of the members to bring in a check at the next meeting. Also, he <br /> asked the secretary to find out the size and design of the plaque. A request <br /> was also made by Bob to notify the newspapers if not already done so. Manuel <br /> Glickman told the Board that he, too, would be interested in making a contri- <br /> bution. <br /> Dog Officer Candidates <br /> • The Personnel Board was brought up-to-date on the status of candidates for the <br /> position of Dog Officer. They were informed by the secretary after having <br /> spoken to the Executive Secretary that Mr. Fitzgerald was interviewed by the <br /> Selectmen and that Mr. McIsaac was scheduled to be interviewed as well as Mr. <br /> Silva and Mr. Sharpe. They were also informed that upon doing a reference <br /> check on Mr. Fitzgerald the reports were unfavorable. Miss Servis did not <br /> wish to be interviewed by the Selectmen. <br /> Acceptance of Minutes of September 20 <br /> Curtis Woodbury made a motion to accept the Personnel Minutes of September 20, <br /> 1982. David Hardy seconded the motion. All members present were in agreement. <br /> Letter from Firefighters Association <br /> A request dated September 21 from Sheldon Hamblin, Secretary of the Mashpee <br /> -Permanent Firefighters Association to meet with the Personnel Board was read <br /> into the minutes regarding the change in vacation policy made by the Personnel <br /> Board. The Board agreed to meet with the Association at their next meeting <br /> scheduled for October 4 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Part-time Radio Dispatchers <br /> In following up on a request made by Chief Frye for a part-time radio dispatcher <br /> for both the Police and Fire Departments, the secretary informed the Board that <br /> she scheduled Chief Frye to meet with them on October 18 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss <br /> his request. She also told the Board that the Chief indicated that he would be <br /> preparing a job description and that he did not intend to submit an article for <br /> • town approval until Spring town meeting. <br />
