• PERSONNEL BOARD MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 28, 1982 MASHPEE TOWN HALL The members of the Personnel Board were .present for tonight's meeting: Robert Sullivan, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, Curtis Woodbury and David Hardy. Mr. Manuel Glickman and Mrs. Glickman were also present during the meet- ing. Mr. Glickman expressed interest in becoming a member of the Personnel Board. Senior Citizens Walking Trails In a letter dated September 24, 1982, a request for the wording to be in- scribed on the plaque which will be displayed at station #1 of the Senior Citizens Walking Trail was made by Wendy Rubin. Also, Miss Rubin requested that sponsors fullfill their pledge obligations as soon as possible. Bob asked each of the members to bring in a check at the next meeting. Also, he asked the secretary to find out the size and design of the plaque. A request was also made by Bob to notify the newspapers if not already done so. Manuel Glickman told the Board that he, too, would be interested in making a contri- bution. Dog Officer Candidates • The Personnel Board was brought up-to-date on the status of candidates for the position of Dog Officer. They were informed by the secretary after having spoken to the Executive Secretary that Mr. Fitzgerald was interviewed by the Selectmen and that Mr. McIsaac was scheduled to be interviewed as well as Mr. Silva and Mr. Sharpe. They were also informed that upon doing a reference check on Mr. Fitzgerald the reports were unfavorable. Miss Servis did not wish to be interviewed by the Selectmen. Acceptance of Minutes of September 20 Curtis Woodbury made a motion to accept the Personnel Minutes of September 20, 1982. David Hardy seconded the motion. All members present were in agreement. Letter from Firefighters Association A request dated September 21 from Sheldon Hamblin, Secretary of the Mashpee -Permanent Firefighters Association to meet with the Personnel Board was read into the minutes regarding the change in vacation policy made by the Personnel Board. The Board agreed to meet with the Association at their next meeting scheduled for October 4 at 6:30 p.m. Part-time Radio Dispatchers In following up on a request made by Chief Frye for a part-time radio dispatcher for both the Police and Fire Departments, the secretary informed the Board that she scheduled Chief Frye to meet with them on October 18 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss his request. She also told the Board that the Chief indicated that he would be preparing a job description and that he did not intend to submit an article for • town approval until Spring town meeting.
