Opening of Meeting - The meeting opened at 6:35 PM in the Conference Room <br />of the Middle School <br />II. Secretary Report - MaryAnne Gibbs made a motion to approve the minutes of <br />September 7, 1994, Maureen seconded this motion. Motion Carried. <br />III. Reports - <br />A. Old Business <br />1. Revised By -Laws - <br />Mission Statement: Includes Human Services; This should remain <br />as we do service some of these needs. <br />Membership - Maryanne suggested if we expand to maybe include <br />principals. Commission used to have 9 members - Suggestion was <br />made to mail copy of minutes to principals. Principal will be asked <br />to be on committee in future. <br />Meetings - Section G #4 of Old by -Laws - Keep in mind for every <br />application has to go through Superintendent's Office &Building <br />Principal <br />Scheduling - We need central scheduling for building usage - How <br />shall it be done. How can we get rid of this School <br />Committee /Leisure Service problem. It was suggested that some of <br />the members will go to School Committee to discuss building <br />usage on 10/19. <br />Final draft will be November 1 - 6:30 PM <br />2. Financial Assitance Draft - <br />Will be approved November 1, 1994. <br />3. High School Building Update - designed as 192, approved by <br />Selectmen to be 400 Sq. ft. for Leisure Service Dept. Pool <br />questions discussed. There is 58% reimbursement now; we <br />are trying to get 75%. <br />4. Oktoberfest - Great event - $225.00 made on pumpkin and tootsie roll <br />pull. We ran out of pumpkins. <br />B. New Business - <br />Cooperative Programs - We are looking for instructors for after school. <br />We have a couple of volunteers for chess and cooking class for 5th grade. <br />Woodworking instructors are needed. <br />
