Maureen Paxton <br />Linda Young <br />Elise Meunier <br />MaryAnne Gibbs <br />LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 4, 1994 <br />Ronald Roberts <br />Nancy Caffyn <br />Gus Frederick <br />Maureen Paxton opened the meeting at 7:08 PM at the Mashpee Middle School <br />Conference Room. <br />Linda Young made a motion to approve the Meeting of December 7, 1993, and Maryanne <br />Gibbs seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />III. Communications <br />Gus discussed the meeting of Mashpee Commission Against Drug Abuse. He mentioned that <br />the Together We can Program would cost $2,800 to do this program. He suggested a <br />proposal be sent out to Willowbend to see if they could help fund this cost. <br />Gus said that he would be putting together a letter to Jean Adams from Holiday Estates <br />regarding the use of their swimming pool. They would like a proposal from us. Gus <br />mentioned that he would like to run a lifeguard program there. <br />Gus said that he has a letter from the Department of Finance for the County. We received <br />a final check from the Department of Finance for the JTEC Program. We would like to <br />get the program started again this year. Gus has a copy of summer Youth Employment <br />and Training Program Report to the Commissioner and said that he would make a copy if <br />anyone would like to have one. <br />Gus discussed the invitation he received from Dr. DeMoura to attend the Education Needs <br />Meeting. Dr. DeMoura would like to have the Department look over space requirements <br />for the new high school. Gus also discussed next year's budget request (i.e., beach and <br />playground equipment - needs and repairs). <br />IV.
