Present: <br />Ronald Roberts <br />Maureen Paxton <br />Linda Young <br />Nancy Caffyn <br />Elise Meunier <br />LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1994 <br />Absent: Also Present: <br />MaryAnne Gibbs Gus Frederick <br />Maureen Paxton opened the meeting at Middle School at 7:07PM. <br />Nancy Caffyn made a motion to approve the Minutes of January 4, 1994. Linda <br />Young seconded. Motion carried. <br />A. Barnstable County Youth Commission - Barnstable Council Youth Leadership <br />Conference is being held at Cape Cod Community College on Friday, March 18. It will <br />feature workshops on self-esteem, family problems, violence prevention, mediation <br />and career decisions. <br />B. Cape Cod Extended Day Cater - Gus reported that Jim Marr and Peg Geary would be <br />attending the Extended Day Care Program. Notes were taken and fax'd back to the head of <br />this program for distribution. <br />C. Office for Children - Licensing for Kids Klub - Gus reported <br />he would be attending meeting concerning After-school Day Care. <br />A. Old Business - <br />1. Janualy Programs Update - Gus went over the status of the <br />current programs. <br />2. Youth Commission - Gus reported that prospective members were <br />still being interviewed. Complete list will be submitted to selectmen. <br />3. Operating Budget/Canital Needs - Gus passed out information and discussed the <br />department budget and the need to keep level funding. <br />4. Club 58 - Club 58 will start Thursday. Joan Tavares will be the instructor <br />and to start, the program will run on Monday and Thursdays from 2:30 to <br />5:30PM. <br />
