•
August 11 , 1993
Robert Whritenour
Executive Secretary
Town of Mashpee
Dear Bob:
Last night the High School Building Committee met . We
discussed the appraisal services we require to enable us to
evaluate the two high school sites . We request you help us
procure consulting services that will accomplish the
following:
1 . Provide the committee with an estimate to acquire
any or all the parcels located at both sites . The committee
will use this information along with information provided by
the architect (traffic , topography , demographics , etc . ) to
choose which site is most suitable for a high school .
• 2 . After a site is selected advise the committee on the
amount offunds we should request in a warrant article for
acquisition of the selected properties .
Paul O'Connell is a Title Examiner and has already started
work. He estimates he will be 100% complete on 15 September .
We request that Town Counsel draw up an RFP that will help us
obtain this information.
We request you advertise to solicit bids for this work after
conferring with Town Counsel . I understand the advertisement
can go out before the RFP is actually complete . This may
save us some time.
These services provided our committee will lay the groundwork
towards the actual acquisition of property by the Town. We
request Town Counsel advise us as to the extent of appraisal
work that is needed for our immediate and long range
purposes . I foresee that additional appraisal services may
have to be requested at Town Meeting for acquisition
assistance .
•
