1
14. PE requests: field hockey nets, and ping pong tables(about$300 each)for a total of$3,000.
15. Drafting tables: Paul said they were in the original design and were eliminated when the
CAD stations were added We took them out based on the School Department's request.
Dr. DeMoura asked if we could purchase portable drafting tables, to put on student desks when
needed-
16.
eeded16. Foods and fashion: these items were just omissions, items that did not get ordered-
17.
rdered17. Guidance furniture: they would like a TV and VCR on a cart for both offices and a second
laser printer. They also need a table for a computer for students to use. A letter folding machine
because guidance departments do a lot of mailings.
18. Ticket booth: for outdoor sports events. This can be purchased for about$1,000.
19. Clocks: for the kitchen, cafeteria, and auditorium
20. Computer table with pullout keyboard: for the special needs classroom, those rooms do not
have computer counters, they are using student desks.
( Bill Martiros left the meeting at 5:15 p.m.)
21. AV requests: Mike Pietrowski is requesting hand held microphones, a phone line for TV
control room. Total request$14,350.
22. Soap and towel dispensers : 12 of each for shop/tech areas.
Paul remembers asking SMMA to delete these from the drawing because they were very
elaborate and we decided to purchase units for those areas when the job was complete.
23. Maps
24. Winterize lawn tractor: the Bobcat is too wide and digs up the lawn in some areas when
removing snow. This request is for an enclosure for a unit we already have which could be used
for the sidewalks.
25. Another book wagon for the library. Paul wants to be sure one more is sufficient.
26. Reading machine: Paul thought we talked about this and determined the computers would be
able to handle this? He is afraid there are teachers not familiar with the latest technology-but we
already own the capability.
27. Press box/concession stand.
28. Garage.
29. Principal's discretion: in case they have forgotten something. Mr. Bok explained that there
will most likely be things they haven't thought of for grades 11 and 12.
Paul said the Committee will have to know what the items are in order to get them approved. He
is not sure we can hold money over after the project has been closed.
Dr. DeMoura said there seems to be some cloudiness as to whether they have received some of
the items they believe have been ordered.
Paul asked Jim if we can give them a status report?
Jim said Chartwell has Manny Tavares' book here, it list all the items and their status. Someone
just has to take the time to review them..
Paul believes Tavares owes us that responsibility. He should be able to tell us what has been
delivered or not. Jim said Manny is relying on the information from Chartwell.
3
