Dave passed out his analysis of the fall DIBELS testing. Incoming kindergarten
class has 50% of students that have reached their benchmark. However, some of the kindergarten
students can read past a third grade level.
There was discussion regarding breaking down the data by teacher to see who needs support. Dave can
put together a data and summary plan.
Dave attended two math classes during the month: one was taking a traditional math test. The other was
a sixth grade class at Quashnet School.
Brockton has a literacy coach and working PLCs— Dave thought it might be good to take a ride there and
examine their practices.
Brian suggested that we work with DSAC and COMPASS Teams as well and move forward. Joan assured
the committee that she will work hard to get any resources that are needed.
Next steps:Allow the DSAC to work with us and begin to look at deficits and possible solutions, including
materials.
Next Meeting:TBD
