SEPAC Meeting Minutes <br /> Mashpee Public Schools <br /> Date: Wednesday, March 20,2013 <br /> Present: 7 <br /> Next meeting: Wednesday, May 15,2013 <br /> 6:30pm at Quashnet School.Library <br /> 1. • • s <br /> Director of Special Education, Michele Brady,and Assistant Director of Special Education,Joan Collins, <br /> facilitated the meeting. Keith Woodbury, speech and language therapist presented and 4 parents were <br /> in attendance.This meeting was held in an alternate location, Room 101,due to the library being <br /> unavailable. <br /> • <br /> • Minutes from the January 23, 2013 meeting were approved. <br /> • ARICA law and health insurance coverage for autism was tentatively scheduled as the topic for <br /> the next SEPAC meeting but a change was made after brief discussion and unanimous <br /> agreement.Tentatively scheduled for the next SEPAC meeting, is a meet and greet with the new <br /> school superintendent, if available. <br /> • Keith Woodbury,speech and language therapist gave a presentation on the various types of <br /> assistive technologies currently available. Mr.Woodbury discussed the process on how assistive <br /> technologies can be incorporated into school academics. He provided an overview of different <br /> types of software and IPad apps that are widely used.
