' On the Bus: <br /> • Wait safely at the roadside. <br /> • Carefully board the bus one student at a time. <br /> • Stay seated during the trip. <br /> • Talk quietly. <br /> Follow the bus driver's instructions at all times. <br /> • Distraction is a safety problem for all riders. <br /> • Get off the bus at the appropriate stop. Proceed carefully. <br /> • All school rules apply on school buses. <br /> • See TRANSPORTATION SECTION <br /> DISCIPLINE CODE <br /> OFFENSES <br /> Arson, bullying, cheating, corridor violation, defacing school property, disruptive behavior, <br /> extortion, false alarms, fighting, food outside cafeteria, forgery, homework (not done), <br /> horseplay, insubordination, inciting others to violence or disruption, lack of preparation for <br /> class, lack of privacy in the school bathrooms, offensive language, physical attack, possession <br /> or use of weapons (or replicas; i.e., plastic or otherwise) or dangerous articles, possession, use <br /> or distribution of alcohol, controlled or over-the-counter substances, repeated loss of <br /> books/equipment, sexual harassment, smoking, tardiness, theft, throwing objects, truancy from <br /> school/class, unauthorized sale and distribution of materials and goods, vandalism <br /> RANGE OF CONSEQUENCES <br /> The range of administrative action will be based upon the number and the severity of the <br /> infraction(s). The administrator or his/her designee reserves the right to take the action deemed <br /> appropriate for specific behaviors not addressed in this code: <br /> • Conferences with student and/or parent/guardian <br /> • Detention(recess) <br /> • Restitution <br /> • Temporary removal from class or classes <br /> • Behavioral probation <br /> • Social restriction(i.e., field trips, assemblies, etc.) <br /> • In-school suspension <br /> • Out-of-school suspension <br /> • Notification of authorities <br /> • Expulsion <br /> • Threat Assessment Management (TAM) <br /> 30 <br />
