In addition to
parents, the team is comprised usually of a nurse, school counselor, psychologist, principal and
regular classroom teacher.
The C.E.T. convenes to evaluate the student and to recommend an educational plan which is
responsive to his/her individual special needs.
For additional information or clarification in regard to MGL Chapter 71 B (Chapter 766 of the
Acts of 1972), please inquire of the Director of Special Education at 539-1500.
EQUAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY ACT—622
Chapter 622 applies to equal education opportunities for all students of public schools.
