r- <br /> EXECUTIVE, SUMMARY <br /> At the Coombs School, our efforts are concentrated on providing everything necessary to improve student learning. Ultimately, our efforts are <br /> to move all students to proficiency. Targeted goals must be set to achieve sustained student improvement over time. <br /> The goals in this School Improvement Plan <br /> • align school efforts with the district's efforts <br /> • allow staff to align their efforts to achieving the goals set in the improvement plan <br /> • allow all staff to know the priorities and expectations <br /> • provide opportunities of learning by doing <br /> • provide for sound instructionaM decisions, and <br /> • provide the necessary resources to achieve the goals. <br /> These goals are strategic and specific. The preschool literacy goal, the K-2 academic achievement goal, community goal, Professional <br /> Learning Communities goal, and the School Improvement Plan goals are quantitative and measurable. All goals are attainable and results- <br /> based. Each of them is time bound. SMART goals will allow us to monitor which of our efforts are making a difference and by how much. <br />
