Mashpee High School Project Management CC ,21nMn ON ANDREW CHARTWELL& CO <br /> CHARTWELL'S NOTES OF A MEETING <br /> Held at SMMA's Office, Cambridge <br /> On Thursday 4th May 1995 <br /> Concerning Administration of the Project during the Construction Phase <br /> Attendance Edward Frenette and Joel Seeley (SMMA); David Jenner, Jim Byrne and <br /> Tom Wren (ACC) <br /> PREAMBLE <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to ensure coordination by and between the Design <br /> Team and the Building Committee's Representative/Project Manager in the <br /> administration of the Project. <br /> ACC's 'Topics for Discussion' was used as an agenda as was SMMA's response <br /> (copies of each attached). The following paragraphs utilise the same reference <br /> numbers as ACC's list of topics. <br /> DISCUSSION AND UNDERSTANDINGS <br /> 1.0 Introductions <br /> 1.1 James Byrne, Clerk of the Works, was introduced to SMMA. <br /> 2.0 Respective Roles Duties and Relationships <br /> 2.1 SMMA and ACC will need to present a unified front to the Contractor on all matters <br /> concerning the Project. This will necessitate frequent communications between <br /> SMMA and ACC. <br /> 2.2 In reporting matters to the Building Committee, ACC advised that it was under a duty <br /> to maintain and submit independent records, as set forth in its terms of engagement. <br /> 2.3 All instructions, directions, approvals and opinions to be provided under the <br /> Construction Contract will issue from SMMA as Architect. ACC will fulfill a general <br /> overseeing role, except on specific matters such as checking the Contractor's <br /> compliance with the Prevailing Wage Law and MBE/WBE Participation observence <br /> referred to below. <br /> Sheet 1 of 6 Administration of the Project May 4, 1995 <br />
