His timetable for completing his scenario is within the next month or two. Stearns &Wheler Contract Stearns and Wheler has proposed a new amendment to their contract. Because of the delay in starting this project,they must file a notice of project change with MEPA. Jeff explained it is part of the MEPA process. They must also print 12 copies and distribute it. ** Don made a motion to approve the supplemental amount of$1,650 to Stearns and Wheeler's contract for notice of project change and to pay the invoice for that amount. All members in favor 2-0** Request from Town of Falmouth Gerry Potamis was present to ask for support for their grant application to the Barnstable County Wastewater Collaborative for the Falmouth Country Club site. He explained the project. It is in the Waquoit Bay watershed. Estimated total project cost is$48,000.They need the support of the shared watersheds. The Collaborative allows$20 per hour for volunteers towards matching funds. They would like a letter of support from the Sewer Commission and from the Mashpee Board of Selectmen. Tom said this is potentially of benefit to Mashpee and it will not cost Mashpee anything. Mashpee has contributed $23,000 towards Falmouth's MEP report. Is Sandwich involved? SMAST: do not have a contract or bill from them yet;work is complete. High School Treatment Plant: they will appeal their new discharge permit. Are also looking at alternatives, possibly moving the discharge outside of the Zone It. Tom will be meeting with the Superintendent on Oct 4th and will report back. New Developments: There are 2 new potential treatment plants: at Mashpee Village, as part of their renovation work. A potential Assisted Living facility at the corner of Old Barnstable Rd and Rte 151. Tom has had some discussion with involved parties about coordinating treatment in that neighborhood. Mashpee Village is under the gun and will have to do something sooner than later. Tom thinks it would be best to expand an existing facility (high school or Southport)to accommodate those projects. Jeff Gregg asked for a copy of the high school's discharge permit and any information available about Mashpee Village, to get an idea of flows. 3
