I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $50,000 from Revenue Available for Appropriation to the Legal and Engineering Account. Motion to transfer $50,000 passes with majority vote at 7;56 p.m. Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $9,000 to the Medicare Account, the sum of$600 to the Group Insurance Account, the sum of $4,225 to the Temporary Interest Inside 2 1/2 Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Treasurer/Tax Collector Explanation: This article provides funds (Medicare Account) for the Town's share of social 0 security for part-time employees and Medicare for all employees hired after 3/31/86. The account is short due to new employees (replacements) and an increase in part-time workers. The Group Insurance Account is short due to an increase in the number of employees choosing to participate. The Temporary Interest provides funds for the interest due on funds borrowed for Chapter 90. This borrowing was approved without provision for the attendant costs. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $13, 825 from the Snow & Ice Account to the following accounts: $9,000 to the Medicare Account, $600 to the Group Insurance Account, and $4,225 to the Temporary Interest Inside 2 1/2 Account Motion to transfer $13,825 passes at 7:57 p.m. Article 6. ` To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds a sum of money to the Interest on Refunds Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Town Accountant • Explanation: This article will offset the deficit in the Interest on Refunds Account. Interest on real estate tax abatements must be paid per Chapter 59, Section 64. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer $950 from the Snow & Ice Account to the Interest on Refunds Account. Motion to transfer $950 passes unanimously at 7:57 p.m.
