I Town of Mashpee Special Town Meeting October 17, 2005 Town Meeting opened at 7:51 PM A TRUE COPY, ATTEST Quorum 100 227 Voters Present CLERK OF SHP E,MA Barnstable, ss: Greetings to the Constables of the Town, In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summon the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to meet at the Mashpee High School on Monday, the 17th day of October, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. for the following purposes: To act on the articles contained in the following Warrant. ARTICLE 1: To see if the Town will vote to amend the provisions of the Town of Mashpee General Bylaws, Part I—Administrative Legislation, Chapters 1 through 7, and General Bylaw, Part 11—General Legislation, Section 145-2, as set forth below, or take any other action relating thereto. CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL PROVISIONS ARTICLE I-- Adoption of Code Historv: Adopted 11-13-1989 STM,Article 28 approved by Attornev General on 2-16-1990 §1-1. Adoption of Code: The Town shall accept the renumbering of the various bylaws of the Town from their original numbering to the numbering or codification, arrangement, sequence and captions as set forth in the Code of the Town of Mashpee, dated 2005, on file at the office of the Town Clerk, to be effective said codification having been done under the direction of the Board of Selectmen, Town Counsel and Town Clerk, and said Code being a compilation of the present bylaws of the Town and having no substantive changes or deletions in the text thereof, and the Town shall renumber any additions to the bylaw . prior to ARTICLE II'--Amendments to Bylaws Historv: Adopted as Ch.1.Art.1.3,of the 1980 Code - §1-2. General Requirement. These Bylaws may be amended at any Annual Town Meeting or Special Town Meeting, provided that an article or articles for that purpose be included in the Town Warrant.
