The School is located on the top of a hill in a heavily <br /> wooded area in a residential zone, and is not visible from the <br /> street. The surrounding neighborhood has an abundance of virgin <br /> land which offers the school a good measure of seclusion. <br /> 7. As one of two residential child referral centers on Cape <br /> Cod, DARE School accepts children pursuant to M. 0. L. Chapter 119 <br /> $23. frost of the referrals received by the School originate from <br /> the Department of Public welfare pursuant to civil proceeding . <br /> These children have never been adjudicated delinquent. <br /> e. DARE School also accepts a small number of referrals from <br /> the Department of Youth Servicnis. In addition, the staff at DARE <br /> works with local community groups as advocates for improved youth <br /> programs for Cape Cod residents. DARE School is a local member of <br /> the Cape Cod Council for Children, the Affiliation of trental Health <br /> Providers, and the Cape Cod Community Council. <br /> 9. DARE School is licensed by the Office For Children and the <br /> Department of (dental Health, has contractual arrangements with the <br /> Department of Public Welfare and tha Department of Youth Services, <br /> and is funded almost exclusively by state monies. <br /> 10. The range of activities conducted at, DARE School are varied, <br /> including, but not limited to, instruction ins arts and crafts, <br /> auto mechanics, pottery, painting, drawing, sewing, gardening, <br /> physical education, personal and group counseling, individual <br />
