TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> TOWN HALL, MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS 02649 <br /> P,gg DECISION <br /> RE: Petition of Gregory Jon Willis for a Variance Case #V-85-02-004 <br /> A Petition was filed by Gregory Jon Willis of Mashpee, Mass- <br /> achusetts for a Variance for permission to vary the 40 , road <br /> setback requirements on property located on the Corner Lot #117 - <br /> Highview Ave. , Hilltop Rd. , Briarwood Estates, Mashpee, Mass- <br /> achusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Mass- <br /> achusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given -by pub- <br /> lication in the Falmouth Enterprise, a, newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee on January 30, & February 6, <br /> 1985, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, February 20 , 1985, at 7: 30 p.m,! at <br /> which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were <br /> present and acting throughout: Manuel Costa, William Hanrahan <br /> and Thomas Sexton. <br /> Mr. Willis explained that on this lot there is a grade prob- <br /> lem and also how the land slopes in different areas. ' Mr. Willis <br /> had provided the Board with photographs of the lot. in addition <br /> to the photos were letters from Raymond K. Loughlin, Ed.D. , <br /> Psychologist and James L. McGuire, M.D. The Board found the <br /> hardship to be both topographical and medical. <br /> Mr. Willis requested a variance of 14 feet allowing him to <br /> build at 26 feet. <br />
