TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> a TOWN HALL, MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS 02649 <br /> p� DECISION <br /> REs Paul & Pamela McLaughlin for a Special Permit Case <br /> #SP-85-03-011 <br /> A Petition was filed by Paul & Pamela McLaughlin of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit for permission to operate a <br /> day care (to children) center on property located on Lot 161 , <br /> Santuit Pond Estates, Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Mass- <br /> achusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publica- <br /> tion in the Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation <br /> in the Town of Mashpee on March 13, & March 20, 1985, a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, March 27, 1985, at 7 : 30 p.m. at which <br /> time the following members .of the Board of Appeals were present <br /> and acting throughout; Michael Makunas, William Hanrahan, land <br /> Cheryl Hawver. <br /> The Board took this under advisement on March 27, 1985 and <br /> made their decision on April 10, 1985. The Board denied this <br /> application for the following three reasons. 1 . This was a <br /> poor location for a day care. 2, The covenant stated that no <br /> businesses were allowed. 3. Many of the neighbors voiced their <br /> objection. <br />
