The Board made the following findings: We can establish
that there is a need for subsidized low-income housing for families
and disabled persons in the Town of Mashpee based on the data presented
at the hearing. The financing for this project is from State agencies.
Evidence presented at the hearing shows that the applicant has tried
to substantially comply with the requirements of the Town of Mashpee
Zoning Bylaws, and the applicant appears to be proposing quality
style housing on the lot.
At the hearing, a motion was made and seconded to grant
a Comprehensive Permit for low- and moderate-income housing for
families and disabled persons under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter
40B, and for funds to be provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
under Chapter 705, Housing for Family Programs, with the following
conditions:
1. That .all of the units constructed hereunder and in
compliance with the plans shall be made available to families and
disabled persons of low- and moderate-income.
2. That this project comply with the Town of Mashpee Bylaw
4.6.6, which provides for heat detection, tenant notification, and
alarm monitoring in the event of fire.
3. That the Mashpee Housing Authority is required to
cooperate with all other local and state boards or committees for
placing residents of the Town of Mashpee in the family units.
-3-
