Marsters for a Variance Case #V-87-08-076
A Petition was filed by Earle M. Marsters of Mashpee, Massachusetts
for a Variance for permission to extend an existing non-conforming use
and for permission to enter within 50 feet of the wetlands in a R-3M
Zoning District on property located on 90 Lakewood Drive, Mashpee,
Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on
July 29 & August 5, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall
on Wednesday, August 12, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following
members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout:
William Hanrahan, Manuel Costa and Michael Makunas.
The Board was informed the Applicant proposes to expand the dwelling
for year round use. The Board ascertained that due to the shape of the
lot there are no alternative locations in which to expand the dwelling.
No comments were received from the Conservation Commission. The Board
determined this Variance request to be a substantial improvement to the
area.
