McNutt for aSpecial Permit
Case: SP-89-12-04
A Petition was filed by Robert R. McNutt of Cotuit, Massachusetts
for a Special Permit for permission to replace signage in a C-2
zoning district on property located on Falmouth Road, Route 28
(Map 55, Lot 8) Mashpee, MA.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the
Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the
Town of Mashpee, on January 11 and January 18, 1989, a copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town
Hall on Wednesday, January 25, 1989 and continued on March 8, 1989
at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were
present and acting throughout: Cheryl Hawver, Richard Halpern and
Edward Govoni.
The Board was informed that Mr. McNutt proposes to replace the
present signs at the entrance to Merry Meadow By-way with a
6§ ' x 12' sign which will include individual signs for the tenants.
A level planter and plantings will be placed under the sign.
The plans have received the approval of the Design Review Committee.
The Board determined granting this Special Permit would be in
harmony with the general purpose and intent of the zoning by-law
and complies with the specific provisions of the by-laws.
