MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A VARIANCE <br /> RE: Petition of Robert Hansen for a Variance V-89-06-73 <br /> A Petition was filed by Robert Hansen of Wilton, Connecticut for <br /> a Variance for permission to construct an addition, deck and in-ground <br /> pool within 50 feet of the wetlands in an R-3 zoning district on <br /> property located at 31 Keel Way (Map 120, Block 134) Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on July 24 and July 31, 1989, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, August 9, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: Cheryl A. Hawver, Richard E. Halpern and John J. Friel. <br /> Susan B. Asmus of Warwick and Associates represented the <br /> petition. She informed the Board that the applicants are proposing <br /> to add an- addition approximately 20' x 20' , decks and an inground <br /> pool. She explained that the edge of the pool and deck would be <br /> 43' from the top of the coastal bank. No comments were received <br /> from abutters. <br /> Ms. Asmus presented the Board with photographs of the lot <br /> and explained that hay bales would be used to surround the work area <br /> _to protect the wetlands. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously on August 9, 1989 to grant a Variance of 7 feet to allow <br /> construction 43 feet from the top of the bank. <br />
