BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes - August 17, 1988 Page 2. <br />BONWOOD CO. INC. (Owner of Record: Reliance Development Corp.) <br />• Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.H.5 of the Land Use Requirements <br />for permission to remove fill within the Town on property bounded south by <br />Rte. 151, east by Algonquin Avenue, north by John's Pond and lots on <br />Falmouth Road being lots 35 and 35A on Map 65 (Map 63, Lot 35), Mashpee,MA. <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />Attorney Michael Dunning explained that the Town of Mashpee had <br />approached Bonwood asking for clay fill which would be used at the Town <br />dump. Mr. Bonvey said Bonwood was willing to give the fill to the <br />Town and would pay for the trucking, subject to the approval of the <br />DPW. <br />Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />DOT INC. D/b/a The Landing Cleaners- Requests a Special Permit under <br />Section 7.1 and 11B of the Land Use Requirements for permission for a <br />drop for dry cleaning location in a C-2 zoning district on property located <br />at Deer Crossing (Rte. 28) Mashpee, MA. (Map 81, Lot 23). <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, R. Halpern <br />Maria Corte -Real represented the petition. She stated that no <br />cleaning or tailoring services willbe done on the premises. The shop <br />will have three employees. Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit <br />• with the condition that there be no processing or storage of cleaning <br />chemicals on the premises. Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />SHELL OIL CO. (Owner of Record: Henry C. Labute) - Requests a <br />Special Permit under Section 5.5.10 of the Land Use Requirements for <br />permission to alter a pre-existing non -conforming sign in a C-2 zoning <br />district on property located on Rte. 151 (Map 72, Lot 85) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />Attorney Kevin Kerraine represented the Applicant. He informed the <br />Board that the Design Review Committee had requested a revision in the <br />signage and Applicant is planning to move a pre-existing non -conforming <br />sign back from Town land and alter the height. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />SHELL OIL CO. (Owner of Record: Henry C. Labute) - Requests a Variance <br />under Section 10.6.10 and 7.4 of the Land Space Requirements for altering <br />signage on property located on Rte. 151 (Map 72, Parcel 85) Mashpee, <br />MA. <br />Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, E. Govoni <br />• Attorney Kerraine explained that Applicant was asking for Variance <br />to allow pricing signs to exceed four square feet similar to those in <br />use in other gasoline stations in Town. Mr. Makunas moved to grant the <br />Variance. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />
