MINUTES June 8, 1988 5 BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Mr. Hanrahan stated he would like the Conservation Commission to hear <br />the applicants project. <br />Mr. Hanrahan stated this problem does not originate from the by-law <br />specifically or the Board of Appeals, so much as, the over -ruling bf=the Con- <br />servation Commission by D.E.Q.E. and explained that this by-law would not <br />be in existance were this problem not to currently exist. <br />Mr. Somerville stated that there are many studies currently being com- <br />piled in Waquoit Bay and this proposed dock site is located in the Waquoit <br />Bay National Estuary Research Reserve. He explained that Reserve is trying <br />to maintain the Bay in its natural state <br />Mr. Makunas motioned to grant the Special Permit for a small craft <br />dock with attached floats as requested with the stipulation this applicant <br />comply with all "Orders of Conditions" setforth by the Mashpee Conservation <br />Commission, Mr: Govoni seconded, all agreed. <br />Greenwood Homeowner's Association - Requests a Special Permit under <br />Section 10. .8 of t e Zoning Sign Requirements for permission to exceed the <br />regulations of one sign per entranceway of a subdivision in a R-3 Zoning <br />District on property located at the intersection of Great Neck Road South <br />and Great Pines Drive, Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Richard Halpern. <br />There was no representation present this evening for this Special Permit <br />• request. <br />Mr. Hanrahan motioned to deny without prejudice this Special Permit <br />request due to no representation, Mr. Makunas seconded, all agreed. <br />Ted HHoughton (continued from earlier this evening) - Requests a Variance <br />under ect—io—n-77 of the Land Space Requirements for permission to vary the <br />sideline setback requirements in a R-3 Zoning District on property located <br />on 7 Simmons Narrows Road, (map 76, parcel 89), Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br />Members sitting - William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Edward Govoni <br />Mr. Hanrahan motioned to continue this application until the next regularly <br />scheduled meeting, Mr. Govoni seconded, all agreed. <br />Geoffrey Wall (continued) - Requested a Variance under Section 7.4 of <br />the Land Space Requirements for permission to vary the front setback require- <br />ments on the corner of Canonchet and Ninigret Avenue in a R-3 Zoning District <br />on property located on 39 Ninigret Avenue, (map 65, parcel 79), Mashpee, <br />Massachusetts. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Richard Halpern. <br />Mr. Makunas motioned to grant the 11 foot Variance on the westerly side- <br />line of the lot for the garage only and permission for tie -existing garage to <br />. remain 15 feet from Ninigret Avenue and stated the.granting of this Variance <br />would not be a detriment to the neighborhood, Mr. Hanrahan seconded, all agreed. <br />
