Lindsley for a Special Permit SP-90-50 <br /> A Petition was filed by James J. Lindsley of Cotuit, Massachusetts <br /> for a .Special Permit under Section 174-25.F.2 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to operate a used vehicle sales office in a C-2 zoning <br /> district on property located at 22 Falmouth Road (Route 28) (Map 55, <br /> Block 8) Mashpee, Massachusetts. (Owner of record: Merry Meadow <br /> Enterprises Inc.) . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on June 25 and July 2, 1990, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, July 11, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: Cheryl A. Hawver, William J. Hanrahan and John J. Friel. <br /> Mr. Lindsley informed the Board that he required office space in <br /> a commercial district before he can be licensed to sell used cars. <br /> He stated that he would not require parking spaces for used cars <br /> since his business was. conducted dealer to dealer and no cars would <br /> be sold or stored at the site. Comments were heard from an abutter <br /> asking that no used cars be located at the office. <br /> The Board determined that the Petitioner met the conditions <br /> necessary for the granting of a Special Permit. The Board found <br /> that the use is in harmony with the general purpose and intent of <br /> the Zoning By-laws and complies with the provisions thereof. <br />
