Article 2.2 Treasurer <br /> Section 2.2.1' Legal Proceedings. <br /> The Treasurer is authorized to engage counsel at the expense of <br /> the Town for the purpose of prosecuting any action at law under <br /> the provisions of the Public Statutes relating to suits on bonds, <br /> notes or other securities. <br /> 'Section 2.2.2 Term of Office. <br /> Beginning in the year 1969, the office of the Treasurer and Tax <br /> Collector shall run for coterminous terms, and the term of the <br /> Treasurer, elected in 1969, shall end in 1971. Thereafter, the <br /> term of the offices of the Tax Collector and Treasurer shall be <br /> for three years. <br /> Section 2.2.3 Fees. <br /> All fees received by all Town Officers by virtue of their office <br /> shall be paid over to the Town Treasury in their entirety, except <br /> that the Town Clerk shall be entitled to receive the fees provided <br /> by statue. (Amended at Annual Town Meeting May 2, 1983 and approved <br /> by Attorney General October 12, 1983) . <br /> Article 2.3 Collector of Taxes <br /> Section 2.3.1 Duties. <br /> The Collector of Taxes shall carry out all duties imposed on him/her <br /> by the General Laws of the Commonwealth. <br /> f <br /> a <br /> -6a- <br />
