Section 2. 6. 5 Reimbursement. The members of the Finance Committee <br /> shall serve without pay for their. services, but they <br /> may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in <br /> rN the discharge of their duties hereunder, with the <br /> approval of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Section 2 . 6 . 6 Vacancies. Vacancies occurring in the Finance Com- <br /> mittee shall be filled as provided in Massachusetts <br /> General Laws , Chapter 41, Section 11. <br /> Section 2. 6. 7 Election. Members of the Finance Committee shall be <br /> elected by Australian Ballot at the annual election <br /> of town officers commending with the Annual Election <br /> of 1976 . <br /> Article �. 7 Planning Board <br /> Section 2. 7. 1 Membership. The voters of the Town shall choose by <br /> ballot, beginning with the annual election in March <br /> of 1960, a Planning Board to consist of five members <br /> under the provisions of General Laws , Chapter 41, <br /> Section 81A; provided that at the 1960 election <br /> members of the Planning Board shall be elected, one <br /> for a term of one year, one for a term of two years , <br /> one for a term of three years , one for a term of four <br /> years, and one for a term of five years; subsequent <br /> annual elections to choose one member for a term of <br /> five years. <br /> Section 2. 7. 2 Powers and Duties. The powers and duties of such <br /> Board shall be such as are stated in General Laws of <br /> the Commonwealth and, in addition, shall consider and <br /> advise upon municipal improvements at the request of <br /> other town officials , departments, boards or commit- <br /> tees , or upon its own initiative . <br /> - Section 2. 7. 3 Vacancies. Vacancies occurring in the Board shall <br /> be filled as provided in General Laws , Chapter 41, <br /> Section 11. <br /> Section 2. 7. 4 Public Hearings. The Planning Board upon its own <br /> initiation may, and upon the petition of ten persons <br /> shall, hold public hearings, fourteen days public <br /> 4v noticeof which shall be given, for the consideration <br /> of any amendments to the zoning map or to the zoning <br /> by-laws; and report to a town meeting its recommen- <br /> dations as to what action should be taken. <br /> Section 2. 7. 5 Consulting Engineer. The Planning Board may appoint <br /> a consulting engineer. <br /> -10- . <br />
