SECTION 4: <br /> APPLICATION OF REGULATIONS <br /> 4 . t No buildings shall be erected or used, .and no land <br /> ,1 <br /> shall be used or divided unless in conformity with <br /> the regulations of this BY-Law . All ether buildings <br /> and all other uses of land or of buildings are hereby <br /> expressly prohibited, except those already lawfully <br /> existing which by the provisions of this By-Law <br /> become lawfully nonconforming. <br /> t <br /> n, 4 .2 When a lot is transected by a. zoning district <br /> boundary, and in part in the adjacent mun i c i pal i ty , <br /> the provisions of this BY-Law shall be applied to the <br /> 5; portion of such lot in the Town of Mashpee in the same <br /> manner as if the entire lot were situated in Mashpee . <br /> 4. 3 When .a lot is transected by a zoning district <br /> boundary , the regulations of the By-Law shall be <br /> .applicable to , arg?r r or t by area of •_.itch l of <br /> may also at the option of the lot owner be deemed <br /> to govern in the smaller part beyond such zoning <br /> district boundary but only to an extent not more than <br /> thirty r30 ? linear feet in depth beyond such zoning <br /> district boundary . <br /> 4. 4 t''lo bu i 1 di ng _•hal 1 be erec ted excep t on a. 1 of iron t i rl'a <br /> an a street -and there shall be not more than one <br /> principal building on any residential lot , except <br /> as allowed under this By—Law. <br /> 4. 5 Land within the lines of a street on which a lot abuts <br /> shall not be counted as part of such lot for the <br /> purpose of meeting the area requirement _ of this <br /> By—Law even though the fee to such land may be in the <br /> owners of abutting lots . <br /> 4 . 6 Any land taken by eminent domain , or conveyed for a <br /> public purpose for which the land could have been <br /> taken by eminent domain , shall not be deemed to be <br /> transferred, in violation of the land area , width , <br /> and space provisions of this BY-Law. <br /> 4 . 7 Construction or operations under a building permit <br /> or special permit shall conform to any subsequent <br /> amendment of the Zoning BY-Law unless the use or <br /> construction is commenced within a period of not <br /> more than six months after the issuance of the <br /> permit and in cases involving construction , unless <br /> such construction is continued through to <br /> completion as continuously and expeditiously is it <br /> is reasonable . <br /> 4-1 <br />
