No exposed <br /> neon-type signs shall be permitted in the <br /> Town of Mashpee . <br /> b) 'sign illumination is permitted only <br /> between the hours of seven CO o' clock in <br /> the morning .and el e"en ( 11 ) o' clock in the <br /> evening, except the signs of commercial or <br /> industrial establishments may be illuminated <br /> during .any hours these establishments are <br /> .;pen to the public or in operation . <br /> Illuminated signs on public buildings and land <br /> .are exempt from this provision . <br /> 10 . 6 .7 Illumination : Except as otherwise prohibited <br /> herein , signs may be illuminated by any fixed <br /> j <br /> steady light source , of such nature and in such <br /> manner that the brightness of the sign face does <br /> not exceed one hundred 100) lumens per square <br /> foot . Except for non-exposed neon-type signs , <br /> where permitted, such illumination =hall be so <br /> arranged that its exterior source is not directly <br /> visible from any way or occupied building , and no <br /> illumination _hall be of any color that might be <br /> confusing to traffic . Holiday lights shall not be <br /> deemed as coming qui th i n the provisions of this <br /> paragraph , but this paragraph shall apply to <br /> window signs. <br /> 10 .6.8 In all zoning districts , for safety reasons , any <br /> private outdoor lighting fixture , exclusive of <br /> street lights , whether temporary or permanent , <br /> shall be so placed or hooded that no light beams <br /> shall be directed at any point beyond the lot <br /> lines of the premises illuminated. <br /> 10 .6.9 Where a }group ( three or more) of business <br /> buildings are built as a " Plaza , " "Mall , " <br /> "Village , " or "Shopping Center , " .and it is desired <br /> to identify the groupings as such , in .addition <br /> to signs permitted for individual buildings or <br /> businesses , there may be permitted one free- <br /> standing sign , set back not less than twenty-five <br /> ( 25) feet from each major street , .and not to <br /> exceed Eighty (80) square feet in area , nor the <br />�^ maximum building height permitted in the zoning <br /> I <br /> 10-6 <br />
