TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> 3 TOWN HALL, MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS 02649 <br /> • P DECISION <br /> AB <br /> RE: Petition of Ronald McCarthy for a Special Permit Case <br /> #SP-87-01-003 <br /> A Petition was filed by Ronald McCarthy of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit for permission to con- <br /> struct a Pier and Float in a R-3M Zoning District on pro- <br /> perty located on 295 Compass Circle, Mashpee, Massachusetts . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given <br /> by publication in the Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on December 31, <br /> 1986 and January 7, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, January 14, 1987 at 7 :30 p.m. at <br /> which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were <br /> present and acting throughout : William Hanrahan, Michael <br /> Makunas and Cheryl Hawver. <br /> Thru information received the Board learned there was <br /> no opposition to this Special Permit request from the <br /> Mashpee Waterways and Conservation Commissions. The Board <br /> was informed that since their prior application for a <br /> Special Permit, which was denied, the pier has been short- <br /> ened by twelve feet, which was a recommendation by the <br />
