BOX 1108
rf18 E' MASHPEE, MA 02649
DECISION
RE: Petition of Priscilla Mattson D/B/A Heavenly Bodies for a Special Case
#SP-87-07-067
A Petition was filed by Priscilla A. Mattson of Falmouth, Massachusetts
for a Special Permit for permission to operate a fitness center in a C-2
Zoning District on property located at Deer Crossing, Route 28, Mashpee,
Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts Gen-
eral Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth Enter-
prise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on July 15 &
22, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, July 27, 1987 at 7;80, p.m. at which time the following members of
the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: William Hanrahan,
Manuel Costa and Michael Makunas.
Through information received the Board learned the Fitness Center will
operate on a isometrics level. The Board was informed the applicant will
meet with the Design Review Committee for the signage.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted unanimously
on July 29, 1987 to grant the Special Permit as requested and found this re-
quest for a Special Permit to be in harmony with the general purpose and in-
tent of the ordinance or By-Law.
