,, lIIfl]II of fflashpre
• BOARD OFCAPPEALS
P. 0. box 1108 -
PAgg(,0 MASHPEE. MA 02649
DECISION
RE: Petition of Len Hathon for a Variance Case #V-87-07-069
A Petition was filed by Len Hathon of Mashpee, Massachusetts for a
Variance for permission to vary the front setback requirements in a R-3M
Zoning District on property located on 8 Quinaquisset Avenue, Mashpee,
Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on
July 15 & 22, 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof,
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, July 29, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following members
of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: William Hanrahan,
Manuel Costa and Michael Makunas.
The Board determined that due to the shape of the lot there would be
no alternate location in which to place the proposed garage. The Board
learned the applicant has met all the requirements of the neighborhood
Association.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted unani-
mously on July 29, 1987 to grant the 17 foot Variance, which faces Clipper
Street as requested. The Board established that granting this Special Permit
would be in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the ordinance or
By-Law.
