MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A VARIANCE <br /> RE: Petition of Patrick Walsh for a Variance Case: V-89-11-03 <br /> A Petition was filed by Patrick Walsh of Dorchester, Massachusetts <br /> for a Variance for permission to vary the sideline setback in an R-3 <br /> zoning district on property located at 5 Hook Drive (Map 122, Lot 278) <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee on <br /> December 28, 1988 and January 4, 1989, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on Wednesday, January 11, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present <br /> and acting throughout: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas and Cheryl Hawver. <br /> The Board was informed that the Applicant proposes to extend a planned <br /> garage by 5' on a corner lot requiring front line setbacks on both streets. <br /> The Board determined that the shape of the lot created a hardship. <br /> Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously on January 11, 1989 to grant a variance of 5' on the <br /> southerly side line reducing the requirement from 15' to 10' . <br />
