BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION MONDAY, APRIL 30 , 1990 PAGE THREE OLD BUSINESS ##2 (Cont. ) Annual Town Meeting Mrs. Jacobson moved to ask Town Meeting to hold discussion on the Omnibus budget and the PAP until after the 5/ 12/90 debt exclusion question. Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion and Mr. Hanson was in favor. Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Carter were opposed. Mr. Lawrence moved that the Board oppose Article 3 . Mr. Carter seconded the motion. . Mr. Hanson abstained. -Mr. Gottlieb and Mrs. Jacobson were opposed. Mr. Carter moved that the Board support the recommendation of the Finance Committee relative to Article 4. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were in favor. Mr. Carter moved that the Board support consolidation of Building & Maintenance fund and to make adjustments to Board of Selectmen now and then to support the rest of the budget. Mrs. Jacobson seconded the motion. Mr. Gottlieb and Mr. Hanson were in favor. Mr. Lawrence was opposed. Mr. Lawrence reserved the right to object to the Board's position at a later time on the following; Town Hall , Data Processing, Planning Department, Harbormaster, Harbormaster/Shellfish/Herring, Shellfish, Herring Warden, Leisure Services, Schools. Mr. Lawrence moved that the Moderator, at his discretion, read the recommendations of the Finance Committee (omnibus budget) and that the Board of Selectmen oppose them by its vote at the Town Meeting. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. Mrs . Jacobson and Mr. Carter were in favor. Mr. Gottlieb was opposed. Selectmen Gottlieb, Hanson, Carter and Jacobson agreed that Articles 9 - 12 should be deferred until after the debt exclusion questions. Mr. Lawrence was opposed. Mr. Carter moved that the Board appose Article 13. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. All were in favor.
